A program designed for your future
For one year, divided into three periods, you will explore how Boliden operates end to end, and how your own unique background and experience connect to the bigger picture. As a graduate, you are employed in a permanent position from day one and supported by an individual development program. Throughout the year several engaged and experienced colleagues, will guide you in your progress. You will become part of an international network of graduates and colleagues, expanding both your knowledge and connections. Six joint training weeks with top-class lecturers will challenge your thinking and give you the opportunity to further deepen your skills. After graduation you will continue your journey with a mentor for six months. In addition, you will receive practical training in project methodology and Boliden’s production methods, enabling you to apply what you learn directly in our operations.

In this role located at the Boliden Area in Skellefteå, you’ll work alongside geophysicists, geologists, and engineers to support survey planning, data processing, and method development.


Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing geophysical surveys
Support data processing, interpretation, and modeling
Contribute to method and tool development
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe, high-quality results



Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree or Master’s degree in Geoscience, Applied Geophysics, Physics or Geophysical Engineering (required)
Fundamental understanding of potential field and electromagnetic methods used in mineral exploration
Experience in the mining or mineral exploration industry is considered an asset
Familiarity with geophysical modeling and interpretation software, such as: Geoscience Analyst, Geosoft Oasis montaj, EMIT Maxwell

What you bring
You hold the minimum required university degree, maximum of 2 years of work experience in your field of study. You can communicate clearly in English, hold a valid driver’s license and are available to start in September 2026.

About the role
· As a Senior Geophysicist at the Exploration Geophysics department, you will work in a team of geophysicists, geologists and geochemists.
· Direct responsibilities will include planning, implementing and supervising geophysical field campaigns, followed by processing, securing and modeling data from these investigations according to Boliden standards.
· Additionally, you will be provided the opportunity to pursue geophysical investigations within your project areas utilizing your unique skillsets to evaluate and report the results according to Boliden standards.
· There is also an opportunity to work with geophysical method and instrument development that is carried out in the department.
· As a senior role, internal mentoring is an everyday task, as well as advice and support for other geophysicists, geologists, field technicians, contractors and consultants. The position is a fulltime and based in Boliden, Sweden.
Your qualifications
B.Sc. degree or higher in geophysics is required, along with an understanding of the use of potential field and electromagnetic methods in mineral exploration. It is a merit to know well electric methods.
Several years of experience in the mining industry, working out in the field with geophysical instruments, as well as knowledge and skills in modeling and interpretation packages (e.g., Geosoft, Maxwell, Geoscience Analyst) is expected.
You are proficient in written and spoken English, are result oriented, flexible, you are a team player, and you can adapt to the culture. You have a driving license for car. Skills in Swedish language is a merit but if you have a willingness to learn the Swedish language we will help you out.

Boliden Mines are looking for a QAQC Coordinator to the Exploration department – Geodata
The Geodata department is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the integrity and longevity of all geoscientific and exploration related data produced or otherwise used by the Exploration department, and to some extent the Mine Sites. The Geodata department also support the organization with expertise in matters concerning permitting processes and contact with landowners, stakeholders and authorities. Furthermore, the Geodata department manage all activities encompassing physical assets such as drill cores, samples, pulps and rejects.
We are now looking for a highly motivated and analytical geoscientist or chemist for a position as QAQC-coordinator within Boliden Exploration, department Geodata.

Responsibilities
As QAQC-coordinator you will monitor, control and evaluate all active exploration projects with regards to their QAQC performance, as well as the overall QAQC performance and routines of the department. You will also assess and evaluate each laboratory and their performance partly based on reported results and methods used, both on long- and short-term basis.
Examples of responsibilities are;
Inventory of standards and blanks should reflect project requirement
Collective QAQC control of projects and laboratories
Performance monitoring and evaluation of laboratories
Establish and/or review and implement criteria for “fails”
Monitor and evaluate long- and short-term performance for projects
Monitor and evaluate long- and short-term performance for department
Guide projects based on performance according to best-practice
Reporting (monthly, quarterly and annually)

Qualification and experience
In your role you will cooperate with people at different levels within the organization as well as external parties, therefore we believe that you have the ability to build and develop relationships on all levels and that you are communicative. As a person you need to be both detail- and result oriented, flexible, have the ability to work both independent and in teams and work pro-actively with improvements. The position require a deep insight in our exploration data, therefore it is of uttermost importance that you are discrete and have a high level of integrity.
The successful candidate is fluent in English and have a BSc or higher within a Geoscientific field or equivalent. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a working knowledge in exploration and prospecting work tasks, geochemical sampling and analytical methods and computer skills needed to evaluate and process data.
A valid drivers license is a pre-requisite.
