Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a US2 Contracts & Procurement Manager to join our stellar team in Skellefteå . In joining us you will play an important part in the construction of our large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The US2 Contracts & Procurement Manager will take ownership of the full EPCM, Sub-Contracting & Procurement scope for the construction program. Their responsibilities will cover acting as the Northvolt representative for all contracts and procurement aspects vis-à-vis the program management, ensuring that Northvolt procurement process and governance are met, both by the EPCM contractor and for Northvolt’s own scope. The Contracts and Procurement will also liaise internally with Site Supply Chain organization to ensure the efficient and most effective use of the local contractor resource pool in NV Ett, as well as with the central category management organization (construction and equipment) to ensure compliance with category strategies and best leverage strategic suppliers to the advantage of the business.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to >
Responsible to the Program Director in matters relating to Contracting and Procurement for the respective Capital Program
Own and maintain an up-to-date procurement plan in coordination with all stakeholders
Develop the Contracting Strategy for construction related scope in collaboration with the Program and Category Management
Overall responsible to coordinate all Northvolt activities concerning sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers
Facilitate the procurement & contracting of the major packages with support from the team, EPCM and Category Management team
Evaluate Contractors and Suppliers in line with the strategies for the program, assessing and assuring bid evaluations and develop recommendations to award in collaboration with Category Management
Manage with an EPCM contractor and internal counterparts in Northvolt the full scope of the work breakdown structure
Act as the main point of contact for an EPCM and the internal stakeholders related to all contracting & procurement for the program
Guide and assist the EPCM contractor in procurement and sub contract placement representing Northvolt from an assurance perspective for all awards
Support, validate and approve EPCM contractor’s and contractors’ purchases to ensure compliance to the Northvolt sourcing policy, category strategy, and program requirements
Collaborate with the Northvolt Ett local Supply Chain function to ensure efficient and effective use of local contractors and suppliers and integrated and coordinated supplier management
Guide and advise on the C&P requirements to support Start-Up and O&M
Leverage the Category Management team for expediting and escalations to maintain time and costs

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications/education/experience
10+ years working experience of relevant industrial experience of Contracting & Procurement in the Chemical, Process or Minerals Industries
Formal C&P qualifications an advantage
A relevant university degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar )
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment, preferably within Europe
Fluency in written and spoken English.
