Educational background and previous experience required for the role.
Qualifications and experience
· Relevant technical education, preferably in electronics or a related field

· Experience of laboratory work in relevant industry, e.g. Li-ion, electronics, semiconductors, solar cells etc.
· Experience in developing test methods, standards, procedures and documentation in an efficient way.
· Proven track record of efficient execution of test plans
· Knowledgeable in Lean

We are looking for a driven Test & Validation Associate to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our Test & Validation team based in Skellefteå, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in enabling efficient testing & validation of our products and contribute to the success of one of the first large scale European battery factories.
As a Test & Validation Associate you will have the opportunity to be hands on with the cells produced at Northvolt Ett, supporting the Test & Validation team in executing tests according to specifications. You will work closely together with Cell Test Engineers and Cell Test Technicians daily as well as other members of the Test & Validation team. You will also work in close collaboration with operators, process, and quality personnel within Northvolt. You will be contributing to maintaining the test labs to a very high standard with 5S methodology in mind and striving for continuous improvement.

About the team
The quality department is led by the Director of Quality and composed of three main aspects, Production Quality, Quality Control and Test & Validation. The department focuses on implementing a strong quality mindset across the organization and is amongst one of the most cross-functional in the organization. The Test & Validation Associate will operate within Test & Validation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Register and prepare samples for testing
Perform basic electrical measurements such as voltage, resistance measurements etc.
Perform instrument analysis defined in the control plan and record the results
Participate in 5S activities to maintain the labs to a high standard
Support and work closely with test engineers and technicians
