You will be contributing in your area in building one of the first European battery factories which will play an important role in the design and development of the large-scale battery factories, which will help the transformation to a carbon free society.
Your will be part of the engineering team improving and maintaining the factory automation system.
You will be working intimately with the design team to design and implement a highly automated production process. You will also be working intimately with the Software Engineering Team, responsible for the higher-level system such as MES, ERP and PLM. The production environment has very high demands on cleanness, up-time to reach the set quality level, production efficiency and traceability. It will require a combination of proven technologies and design of new innovative solutions. We will work with the best solution providers globally.
In general, you have a long experience in the field and have been driving large, innovative and challenging automation projects with very high demand on accuracy and scale.
Specifically, you have a deep understanding and hands-on experience of integrating very diverse, complex, equipment into higher automation layers developing some of the most advanced control systems in the world. You work symbiotically with the Plant Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams, translating their inputs into crisp specifications and orchestrating the execution in an ecosystem of external suppliers and own developers.
Key Responsibilites
Develop, maintain and implement the automation system in the factory.
Commissioning of new equipment
Fault finding as part of the maintenance procedure
Work together with the Industrial Automation System Design team to test and verify upgrades and test applications.
Identify and interact with key automation solution suppliers
Be part of the team that will give our operations team the tools to run the most advanced and efficient production factory in the world.
Author and review Engineering Design Documentation (Requirement specifications, Functional design, Logic diagrams, Test Cases, Test Records)
Implement, test and commission systems in the aforementioned technologies
Participate in R&D activities for piloting of new technologies and their suitability to production environments
Participate in education and knowledge transfer workshops
Cost estimations for projects and change requests. Provide input for quoting and planning works
Code review and test of other's work as well as improving and defining code review practices
Participate in and contribute towards design forums and improvement meetings for technical improvement and optimization of software processes

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computing, Software Engineering or similar.
Experience within Industrial Automation in process-driven industries such as: Mining, Paper Mill, Semiconductors, Fine Chemicals, Pharma, Food etc
Experience with sensors and instrumentation

The role of a Senior Factory Simulation engineer includes validating and optimizing system designs to be feasible, efficient and lean to meet production volumes. Main tool is discrete event simulation using multidisciplinary input parameters. The Senior Factory Simulation Engineer is identifying potential areas where simulation could optimize and improve the production design and deliver simulation results in time to have maximum impact.
Key responsibilities
Evaluate, validate and optimize system design projects and factory layout design by simulating concepts.
Plan and agree on simulation objectives, input parameters and time plan.
Adjusting the simulation level of detail to the objectives and time plan.
Using a standardized, modular, reusable and collaborating approach to simulation modelling.
Document and presenting simulation result with a clear focus on simulation objectives, using intuitive visualizations and a statistically strengthen simulation studies.
Evaluate production controls used in production areas.
Evaluate operating models used in production areas.

Requirements
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor or M.Sc. in Engineering, preferably within Production Management/Logistics or Bachelor or M.Sc. in Applied and Computational Mathematics/Data Science/Robotics, with a focus on statistics and optimization
6+ years of professional experience with material flow simulations or digital manufacturing.
Previously worked with designing material flows or within internal logistics.
Extensive experience with Siemens Plant Simulation or other Discrete Event Simulation (DES) tools.
Extensive experience in programming.
Extensive experience in data analysis.
Experience with working in an international environment.
Experience in developing Ways of Working and Guideline documents
Experience working with relevant standards that impact factory design is a plus
Experience with big data and machine learning is a plus.
Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools is a plus.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
Arbetet sker i projektform och du ingår i ett team med konstruktörer inom mekanik och el. I din tjänst arbetar du med specialorder och utvecklingen av nya produkter, samt anpassningar av ombyggnader och redan levererade maskiner. Det är ett nära samarbete med kunden som uttrycker behovet och sedan är det Ursviken Technology som föreslår lösningarna. Programmeringen sker i B&R Automation Studio.

Eftersom vi verkar internationellt kommer resor att kunna bli aktuellt i tjänsten.


Din bakgrund/Dina egenskaper
Vi söker dig som har erfarenhet av programmering av automatiseringsanläggningar inom industrin och som har ett genuint teknikintresse. Du är van att programmera med programspråket ST (Structured Text) och eller C i B&R Automation Studio eller motsvarande utvecklingsmiljö. Det är meriterande om du har EL-CAD kunskaper. För att lyckas i denna roll ser vi att du har en teknisk högskoleutbildning och/eller erfarenhet från liknande arbete inom verkstads- eller processindustrin.

Vi lägger stor vikt på dina personliga egenskaper. Som person är du noggrann, strukturerad och du har en vilja att driva utvecklingen framåt. You will be working intimately with the Operations team in Upstream, developing training material, training staff in lean manufacturing principles and methods, instructing on standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Hur ser din dag ut?
Vi söker dig som vill arbeta med utmanande uppgifter inom det tekniska området. Rollen kommer ha en inriktning mot arbetsmetoder och projektledning.

Utveckling av nuvarande arbetsmetoder med hänsyn till kostnadseffektivitet, ergonomi och kvalitetssäkring samt projektledning vid t.ex. investeringar kommer höra till det vardagliga arbetet. Vidare kommer man delta i arbetet av Franke Production System med ansvar för verktyget Standard Work(produktions standarder.)

Tjänsten ingår i ett team ingenjörer lokalt, men kan även komma att arbeta i internationella projekt/workshops.

Bakgrund/kvalifikationer
Vi tror att du har teknisk bakgrund och minst en högskoleingenjörsutbildning
Utbildning i MTM(Metod, Tid, Mätning) eller liknande är meriterande
Goda kunskaper i engelska är en förutsättning

Mekanikkonstruktör till Alten Skellefteå

Alten Skellefteå är ett av våra fyra kontor i Region Norr. Kontoret öppnade 2016 och nu står vi inför en expansiv fas där vi söker mekanikkonstruktörer för att förstärka vårt team. I Skellefteå arbetar vi idag med bland annat tillsammans med Renholmen, Fumex, Alimak och Veoneer. I rollen som mekanikkonsult erbjuds du ett varierande jobb där du har stor möjlighet att påverka val av uppdrag och utvecklingsområden. Teamet i norr är ett gäng med mycket engagemang, vilket märks både hos våra återkommande kunder och hur vi tillsammans byter och delar med oss av våra erfarenheter. Hos oss är det alltid nära till skratt och en gemensam lunch, middag eller padelmatch är aldrig långt borta. Eftersom du i rollen som konsult kommer ha många kontaktytor ser vi gärna att du är relationsskapande och kommunikativ.

Du har läst maskinteknik (eller har motsvarande arbetslivserfarenhet), har arbetat i minst tre år inom tillverkande industri. ALTEN i Region Norr gör en satsning inom process-, gruv- och stålindustrin och med anledning av detta är det särskilt meriterande om du har erfarenhet av konstruktion enligt EN-1090 och/eller om du tidigare har arbetat med CE-märkning.
