Qualifications and experience?

About the job
Manufacturing of Battery Cells requires a high level of cleanliness of the manufacturing environment and process. This is accomplished with the use of controlled environments over the manufacturing process, specially designed equipment, and strict cleaning routines of the machines and the areas. The controlled environments can be clean and dry rooms (for the critical process steps) but also other high cleanliness grades rooms.
You will in part be responsible for the monitoring and validation of these areas, equipment and activities is critical for the production of a safe and high quality product. As the technical cleanliness engineer you will perform the cleanroom cleaning validations and contamination monitoring activities, analyses the samples with the help of Quality Control, and assist on root cause analysis for contamination excursions and ensures that the cleaning procedures of the production operators and cleaning team personnel are carried out and in the correct manner. Job Summary
In the role of quality control assistance manager you are responsible for planning, leading and follow up the quality control process and team. This team work with various analyses, checks and tests of raw materials, and our finished slurry product.

You will have the chance to influence our first factory in Europe, Skellefteå, Sweden (to begin with) and see the results of your work.

Further you will lead the daily production and quality control activities to ensure production/product quality specifications are met. Understand and be part of method development and validation.

The Production Quality Technician will be in charge of product quality compliance in our production line. You will be responsible for confirming key quality attributes of intermediate products and processes, identifying and responding to non-conformity issues in production.
The Production Quality Technician will work closely with production staff and Process Quality Engineers. While working in shifts is not required at this point, this situation is expected to change as operations ramp up. Flexibility and willingness to do overtime to cover production peaks is expected. Primary goal for this position is to help ensure quality along all production steps and product outcome to create a stable process environment during production.
In general, you have experience in quality control and relevant technical applications - previous experience in a production environment is a plus. Furthermore, you are skilled in implementing production quality principles and methodology.
You will be responsible for ensuring that production processes and products meet Northvolt's and Customers' quality specifications, defining in-line problems and recommending and following-up on improvements.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead day-to-day quality assurance activities in production ensuring that production/product quality specifications are met.
Potential to operate various analytical equipment such as a Karl Fischer, measurement by ruler or micrometer, microscopes etc.
Ensure control checks are completed according to control plan.
Interpret data and report data/results on an annual, monthly, and daily basis.
Define product/process problems and non-conformities and recommend improvements.
Ensure imminent containment activities and decision making in case of non-conformities and quality issues
Participate in 8D exercises and ensure the actions are implemented.
Provide training to employees.
Participate in and improve 5S methodology and actions together with production team
