Job Scope
High level purpose of function.
The role encompasses the management of the following areas:
- Warehouse systems
- Logistics development
- Logistics maintenance
- Material flow engineering
- Indirect material purchasing
The responsibilities are valid across Lyten Ett site (phase 1 and expansion) ; as well as all 3PL performing services for Ett site.
In the event of the site growing with new buildings/Operations, the scope and responsibilities would apply to it.
In addition to those direct responsibilities, which will be detailed thereafter, cross functional work with all necessary Ett teams is to be performed, including but not limited to material planning, transport planning, facility management, material flow engineering, production planning, logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibilities and activities
• Logistics Network, design to implementation: Manage the end-to-end logistics concept, including warehousing, transportation, internal goods movement and distribution of finished products.
• Operations management of the 3PL assigned providers.
• Implement and maintain safety measures and security protocols to protect equipment and staff based on company guidelines.
• Resolve any arising issues or complaints related to logistics equipment or processes not yet hand overed to Logistics operations
• Recruit, supervise, train and evaluate the team members to promote process and equipment efficiencies.
• Administrate efficiently the budget under his responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and quality company policies. Prepare and participate in audits (customer/IATF/VDA/internal).
• Participate in the change management process for the factory. Controlling the correct material flow.
• Create the tools to administrate the metrics and analyze data to assess performance and propose improvements.
• Administrate the WMS resources to guarantee the correct performance for the operation.

Educational background and previous experience required for the role
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering.
• 10+ years of work experience within logistics and material flow operation.
• Experience in handling incoming quality deviations, communication, and operations coordination.
• Passionate about solving complex problems under stressful situations.
• High adaptability and quick reaction.
• International working experience.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
Specific skills
· Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
· Hands on experience with warehouse management software and business databases.
· Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background.
· Must have worked in a multi-cultural environment.

You will be part of our Support area and report to our Chief Sustainability Officer. You will collaborate with many internal stakeholders, for example with Finance, Product Development Teams and Customer Care.

Your background

We're looking for someone with experience in production and supply chain, as well as proficiency in business development and integration solutions. Your ability to comprehend Once Upon's business and supply chain, and further identify areas for improvement, are capacities that will bring success to this role.

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Project Logistics Manager to join our excellent and passionate team in Skellefteå. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building the network of European Lithium-Ion battery giga-factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Project Logistics Manager's primary focus will be to lead, grow and develop a team of currently Five Northvolter's (Developers, Specialists, and interns) who design and implement logistics solutions for heavy process equipment during the construction phase of Northvolt Ett.
Secondly, you are a supply chain professional at heart. You understand the importance of planning before the execution kicks in and the sequence of events of a logistical process. The Project Logistics Manager will be the key link between the wider Project Logistics team and site based stakeholders focused on the construction and commissioning of Northvolt Ett as well as the logistical infrastructure partners (e.g. port of Skellefteå).
We:
In broad terms, Project Logistics is responsible to secure end to end logistical solutions for process equipment, from vendor to installation with the highest focus on QHSSE, Schedule & Budget.
You:
First and foremost - you are a hands-on leader. You are a natural when it comes to human interaction, managing a broad scope of activities across a very busy team. You have a good feel for people and you know how to, together with them, celebrate good times, as well as pull through dire straits.
Generally speaking, you have a high degree of experience within logistical operations, preferably in an industrial projects setting. You are absolutely excellent in multi-tasking and prioritizing. You understand the importance of structure and communication, especially across cultures and time zones, as means to ensure clarity and reach common goals within specific time frames.
The role will be based at Northvolt’s Skellefteå site with regular travels to Stockholm, Västerås and other Northvolt facilities.
Together with the wider Northvolt Project Logistics Team you will:
Lead the preparations, planning, co-ordination and execution of land-side activities spanning last mile, storage and last meter handling.
Be the link between Northvolt partners - e.g. appointed LSP's, installation managers etc
Ensure forecasting and plan solutions accordingly
Ensure QHSSE and document compliance,
In co-operation with the IP LSP, oversee last mile transportation
In co-operation with site-based handling suppliers, oversee warehousing and last meter operations.
Lead the co-ordination of the schedule between internal Northvolt departments,
Support the centrally based Long-haul focused Project Logistics team
Take a lead role in developing and enhancing operational procedures,
Participate in structured and unstructured communication to ensure clarity around next steps and ultimate goals. Follow-up these with stakeholders and against timelines,
Continuously improve overall project logistics operations,

Skills & Requirements
You are or you have:
A proven track record in leading and developing people,
5+ years of experience within logistics, including from industrial projects setting,
Strong time management skills with the ability to maintain workflow while switching quickly between tasks, languages, cultures and time-zones,
Detailed knowledge and experience of cargo handling operations,
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to prepare and deliver concise understandable information to co-workers, contractors and other stakeholders,
Experience in drafting, running or responding to freight tenders, and negotiations,
Problem-solving, entrepreneurial attitude thriving in a dynamic team environment where no day is like the other (we mean it!),
Self-motivated and great at establishing new relations,
IT literacy, predominantly within Microsoft Office,
