Your role and responsibilities
The mission of the Product Classification Engineer (PCE) is to support the business in product classification within the trade compliance area. This means product classification of physical goods in line with the Swedish Customs Tariff and classification of products, software and technology in line with Swedish export control regulation of dual-use items as well as the US Export Administration Regulation. The trade classification work plays an important role to ensure that all business transactions related to exports and imports are aligned with laws and regulations, as well as ABB trade policies and guide-lines. The PCE is the point of contact to our customs brokers when information about correct HS codes is needed.
In collaboration with the Country Trade Compliance Officer as well as Local Trade Compliance Officer and other PCE colleagues you will be responsible for product classification activities, including proper documentation and work with continuous improvement of the classification processes.
In this role you will be a part of Supply Chain Management at ABB Process Industries in Västerås, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management.
Perform sanity check or execute product classification, including proper documentation, according to Tulltaxan (Swedish customs classification)
Perform sanity check of classification of products, software and technology received from suppliers, including proper documentation, according to Swedish dual-use regulation
Perform sanity check of classification of products, software and technology received from suppliers, including proper documentation, according to US Export Administration Regulation
In case of implementation of certain sanctions packages, support the business with sanctions applicability analyze of product portfolio
Regularly upload export control classification data into SAP GTS Compliance (GTS = Global Trade Services)
Review classified items in case of any updates of Tulltaxan, the Swedish export control regulation or US Export Administration Regulation

As a quality engineer in this position you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, performing inspections and tests, analyzing data to identify and solve quality problems. all CMT departments
activities, and roles influencing quality, including document control, quality control, material control, and engineering.
Responsibilities also include monitoring the quality control exercised by trade partners.
Ensure the development and implementation of the trade partners quality plans and procedures
Provide appropriate training programs for all the staff performing quality functions.
You will be expected to monitor quality control progress, maintain project quality and risk management documentation, and monitor the use of project resources.
Additionally, you are responsible for coordinating action requests with project management regarding quality issues, reporting on project safety and risk-related key performance indicators.
You will ensure compliance with project implementation plans and procedures, and establishing and maintaining the project's quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and contract requirements.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
Proven experience in quality engineering, process engineering, or a similar role within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on large-scale production facilities.
Knowledge of quality concepts, methodologies, and tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans.

Your Responsibilities
Your main tasks include:
• Mining design and scheduling in Deswik software.
• Ventilation planning and media management.

- I din roll kommer du att arbeta både självständigt och i grupp, nationellt och internationellt.
- Du kommer att ha daglig kontakt med våra externa och interna leverantörer som finns i Sverige, Europa och Kina.
- Kommunikationen sker via telefon, mejl och Teams, arbetsspråken är engelska och svenska.
- Du kommer att göra uppföljningar och relevanta statistiska analyser samt vara delaktig i utvecklingen av våra processer och rutiner.
- Arbetet som materialplanerare innebär att samordna och planera anskaffning av material och komponenter från både intern och externa leverantörer. I dina arbetsuppgifter ingår även bokning av transporter samt uppföljning av leveranser till vår fabrik i Tjeckien.

Vem är du
Du har en stark drivkraft att lära dig nya saker, känner dig bekväm med att ta egna initiativ och målinriktad.
Du har tidigare erfarenheter från liknande befattningar inom logistik, främst materialförsörjning, leveransbevakning eller andra liknande roller inom tillverkningsindustrin.

Arbetsuppgifter
Som vår nya produktionsplanerare ansvarar du för planeringen av produktionen i Limträfabrik 5 där vi tillverkar KL Trä; korslimmade formastabila träskivor med max mått 3m x 16 m. Produkterna blir objektanpassade väggar, bjälklag eller tak som tillsammans blir nya och miljövänliga konstruktioner.
Du kommer arbeta tillsammans med våra arbetsledare och projektledare, och en betydande del av arbetet sker i samarbete med produktionen. I arbetsuppgifterna ingår beredning, planering och optimering av den dagliga produktionen, säkerställning av råvara, kontakter med interna och externa intressenter och delaktighet i det interna kvalitetsarbetet. I din roll har du kontroll över hela flödet av material till fabriken i nutid och nära framtid, och du ser till att tillverkningen sker på bästa tänkbara sätt ekonomiskt och produktivitetsmässigt. Som stöd för ditt arbete har vi unika IT-stöd som är väl anpassade för vår verksamhet och den information du tar fram används av våra CNC-maskiner i produktionen. Det är också du som planerar paketeringen så att objektsdelarna kommer i rätt ordning ute på byggarbetsplatsen.
Den nuvarande planeraren går vidare i företaget till en tjänst som arbetsledare på fabriken. Det ger goda förutsättningar för en bra introduktion att den tidigare medarbetaren finns kvar på plats när vår nya produktionsplanerare kommer.

Vem är du?
För att lyckas med uppgiften bör du ha eftergymnasial utbildning med inriktning produktion eller verkstad eller annan relevant utbildning och/eller några års erfarenhet av rollen som beredare/planerare. Du är van att arbeta självständigt och har förmågan att skapa och upprätthålla goda relationer. Som person är du strukturerad, social kompetent, lyhörd och affärsmässig. Slutligen är du van att ha en pågående dialog med produktionen och trivs när tempot är högt.
