Job Scope
High level purpose of function.
The primary purpose of this role is to develop, characterize, and optimize advanced welding processes, specifically Laser Welding and Ultrasonic Welding, to ensure high-quality, high-volume production. This engineer acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for process capability, yield improvement, and defect reduction in critical joining applications, particularly for thin metals, plastics, or dissimilar materials (e.g., in battery components or electronic assemblies).
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
Process Development & Qualification:
Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to define and optimize critical welding parameters (e.g., laser power, welding speed, focal distance, pulse duration, ultrasonic pressure/amplitude) for new products and materials.
Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and process control plans for both Laser and Ultrasonic welding in accordance with industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME)

Optimization & Improvement:
Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Lean Manufacturing principles (FMEA) to monitor process performance, reduce variability, and drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and cost.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for welding defects such as porosity, cracking, tears, cold welds, spatter, and material deformation.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Collaborate with Product Design/R&D teams to ensure new product designs are optimized for manufacturability using specialized welding technologies (e.g., recommending optimal joint configuration and material fit up).

Equipment & Tooling:
Define specifications for and participate in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new Laser and Ultrasonic welding equipment and custom tooling/fixtures. Knowledgeable in CE and regulatory requirements.
Work with equipment and manufacturing to define and document the process set up and parameters.

Training & Documentation:
Create detailed Bill of Process (BOP), work instructions standard operating procedures (SOP) and training programs for welding technicians and operators to ensure process adherence and safety.

We are now looking for a Process Engineer within the chemical hydrometallurgical process for our battery recycling operations during shifts. The role is a part of our passionate Revolt Ett team based in Skellefteå. This process aims to separate valuable metals for reuse in battery production.

The construction of Europe´s largest recycling facility for batteries in Skellefteå is ongoing and will start its production process to separate valuable metals for reuse in battery production during 2023. Job Scope
The Manufacturing Engineer is the main bridge between commissioning phase and production ramp up. They will work closely with the Process Engineers as Process Team finalize commissioning and prepare the production team to take over the lines. Once the production has started, the Manufacturing Engineer is reviewing performance and yield of the lines and launch projects to reduce the top losses in both categories. As the initial full data collection for performance and yield is not yet available, the Production Engineering team will work to enhance the data collection strategy while simultaneously working with the information available.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing the performance of the lines. They will work with a cross-functional team and lead the root cause analysis of equipment based top losses and minor stops. They will analyze the loss data and pull in the groups needed to tackle the losses. Shift work may occur for this role.

We are looking for a process engineer to join Kedali Sweden's technical team.
Kedali is a leading Chinese manufacturer and operates within different segments of the battery industry.
The process engineer oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of systems and processes, including troubleshooting and potential issues.
Main tasks include but are not limited to:
Maintain, drive, supervise, and implement robust technical standards, systems, and processes.
Coordinate the regular testing of products to address faults and provide evaluations for continuous improvement.
Responsible for organizing the preparation of process flow charts, PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions and other guiding documents and updating them.
Responsible for process technology development and introduction of new products
Comprehensive equipment planning, preparation and submission of facility equipment expenditure requests.
Organize improvement and improve the OEE of good equipment.
Responsible for the management of spare parts inventory of wearing parts.
Coordinating personnel to solve equipment-related quality and production problems.

About the job:
As part of your scope as a launch manager at Northvolt, you will 3ork closely with the project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned launch managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, and timing for new initiatives.
